About Freya Bletsoe

I'm Freya Bletsoe, a silversmith specialising in heritage polishing, finishing, restoration and enamelling.
My journey began in silversmithing, but i discovered a particular passion for the specialist skills in polishing and finishing precious and historic objects.
Through a Heritage Crafts bursary, I trained in heritage polishing with Master Polisher Stephen M. Goldsmith, developing skills in a craft recognised as being at risk. There are only 6 Master Polishers in the UK today. I am the only female polisher trained in heritage polishing in the UK.
Today I work across heritage, civic, ceremonial and sporting objects - from Mayoral regalia to ecclesiastical pieces to Judaica, trophies and large silver object such as swords, punch bowls and such like.
My aim is simple: to preserve the craftmanship and character of important objects while giving them the care they deserve.
